When Do I Clean My Edikio Printer or Evolis Printer?

If you use your printer in normal - not dusty - conditions, then you will have two print cycles to follow - 

Cycle One is the Standard Clean, in which you will remove dust from the printer with an adhesive cleaning card and clean the printhead with a swab. You will need the Regular Printer Cleaning Kit. This should be carried out as follows - 

• Every 1000 prints, or sooner if you are using the printer heavily
• Before installing a brand new ribbon
• If there is a drop-off in print quality
• If cards are regularly jamming in the printer

Cycle Two is the Advanced Clean. This adds additional steps to the Standard Clean to clean more comprehensively. Your will need the Advanced Cleaning Kit. The Advanced Clean is necessary - 

• Every fifth Standard Clean
• If your printer has been inactive for a long time

If your printer is used in dusty conditions, follow the above steps, but make EVERY clean an Advanced Clean
